My husband is innocent: Hareem Shah

Famous Pakistani TikTok star Hareem Shah recently shared an alarming piece of news on her Twitter account when she revealed that her husband, Bilal Shah, had been abducted in Karachi. “My husband has been abducted by unnamed and unknown men. I will be posting a video message shortly,” Hareem tweeted.

A total of eight days have passed since Bilal’s abduction, and, more recently, Hareem took to her Twitter to share a video message in which she told everyone watching that her husband had been taken by men, not appearing to represent any law-enforcement authorities. Bilal had briefly returned from London to Pakistan for some work when he was picked.

In the video, Hareem shared that upon the abduction, a complaint had been lodged with the local police stations and other law-enforcement authorities had been contacted for the family of the abductee to understand why he had been taken. However, eight days into his disappearance, Bilal still remains unfound, his whereabouts completely unknown and his abductors still unidentified.

Hareem appealed to legal bodies in the country to help locate her husband and bring him home. She also requested her fans and followers to pray for Bilal’s safe return.

In the video message, Hareem insisted that Bilal's abduction was a case of enforced disappearance and illegal detainment as he was innocent and none of the law enforcement authorities approached by her or Bilal's family could come up with any reason why he would have been arrested or taken in this manner.

Hareem has been known to indulge in Pakistani politics quite frequently and give controversial statements. Many are now speculating that her involvement in political discourse has something to do with her husband's disappearance.
