FAISALABAD:

The traffic police have introduced an e-driving licence mobile application, enabling citizens to obtain their driving licences online.

A spokesperson from City Traffic Police (CTP) announced this development on Monday.

The process involves drivers downloading their electronic licences from the Traffic Police Punjab website by entering their computerised national identity card (CNIC) numbers and dates of birth.

The electronic driving licence, when printed, will be deemed valid and acceptable for all traffic officers, with easy verification through its QR Code.

The electronic driving licence includes various features, such as a coloured photograph of the driver along with the residential address and other relevant details.

Additionally, users have the option to save a copy of their electronic licence as a PDF file for future reference and use, an official statement elaborated.
