Security reinforced for Chehlum

RPO Dr Mohammad Abid Khan has issued directives to the CPO of Faisalabad and DPOs of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot to diligently review security arrangements ahead of the Chehlum.
Dr Abid emphasized the importance of comprehensive and timely security planning, specifically focusing on the routes of Imambargahs, Majalis and processions.
Peace committees will be activated at district and police station levels. Meticulous action plans will address potential tension points through purposeful meetings with relevant stakeholders.
The RPO delegated security oversight to the CPO and DPOs, with SPs personally supervising major events. Security measures comprise fencing, checkpoints and monitoring of procession routes and entry/exit points, including rooftop duty.
The police special branch will be responsible for procession screening, and the Bomb Disposal Squad will conduct technical inspections. Security enhancements encompass CCTV installation, walk-through gates, and metal detector searches. Traffic and parking management are under CTO Faisalabad and DPOs' supervision.
