Eid killings: 3 bodies picked up across Karachi

Blood continues to be shed in the metropolis on the second day of Eid.

Blood continues to be shed in the metropolis on the second day of Eid, with at least three people killed on Thursday.

One person was killed in a road side firing incident in MPR Colony in Orangi town when unknown assassins open fire. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital and is yet to be identified.

In a seperate incident of violence, one tortured body was found under the Essa Nagri Bridge in Liaqatabad. According to police the body bears torture marks and has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital.

Earlier this morning, police recovered a body of a female who was found dead hanging inside a farm house located in Gulshan-e-Mehar.


Police have started investigation into the matter. The female is yet to be identified.

The law and order situation has remained tense in Gulshan-e-Mehar, Orangi town area and Liaqatabad areas.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has said that a joint operation by police and rangers will continue against miscreants and target killers.

He said the government is mobilising all resources to restore peace in Karachi.

Earlier in the day, Interior Minister Rehman Malik had declared that violence in Karachi was subsiding.
