Photo of tearful Russian woman stirs outcry

Images depicting a distressed Russian woman circulated widely across social media platforms on Sunday, igniting a chorus of criticism and public outcry.

The incident revolved around a Russian couple’s journey to the Khyber tribal district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), during which they found themselves inadvertently ensnared in a confusing situation.

Local residents, seemingly confusing them for an American or British couple, accorded the visitors a warm welcome. Regrettably, the couple’s experience took an unexpected turn as their photograph surfaced online, accompanied by allegations that the woman had been subjected to harassment District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas, however, vehemently denied harassment of the couple by any member of the police force.
