Adnan Malik encourages establishment of ‘safe spaces’
Pakistani film and television actor, director and producer Adnan Malik hopes to be a pioneer in conversations surrounding mental health and emotional consciousness. In his latest Instagram post, the actor is said to have embarked on a journey of “conscious energetic exchange” as he aims to build local communities that will serve as spaces for an exchange of ideas, energies and conversation.
In a series of photos Malik uploaded to Instagram on Thursday, the first slide shows the actor to be seen sitting cross-legged on the floor as he assumingly practices breathing exercises. The Cake actor talks of his journey to Europe, where he has been gaining knowledge pertaining to establishing healthier flows of “energetic exchanges” and training for the better management of one’s nervous system. He also went on to share his experience of understanding concepts like “co-creation, cosmic remembrance, self-initiation, regression and manifestation work.”
"I’ve just returned to Karachi after some powerful and deep training in Europe," he said. "In Prague, I participated in an energy journey that was a deep dive into nervous system regulation, conscious energetic exchanges and breathwork. The training in Berlin was focused on the concept of co-creation, cosmic remembrance, self-initiation, regression and manifestation work."
He furthered, "Every time I return to Pakistan, I feel the vacuum of a conscious community where there is an exchange of ideas and a sharing of tools. So, this is an initiative to reach out and create the conscious community that I so desire in my life here!"
Speaking about why he decided to take the said initiative, the star penned, "My intention is to welcome whatever is alive in the field, create a safe and gentle space for witnessing, to foster a sense of community and to share tools and experiences to support this intention."
Adnan continued, "Together, we are Love Warriors, an ever-expanding global family who are vibrating aliveness and choose to live our lives from abundance, Love and Truth. Through creating safe spaces where our peers witness and support us in a journey to manifest our lives from connection to the source."
He went on to talk about what he manifested from his thoughts and this is where Adnan remarked, "It was a gentle, yet potent transmission shared amongst the attendees, where we explored movement, chakra awareness, intention, breathwork, sharings on creating ‘safety’, healthy boundaries and expressing consent, eye gazing and asking for safe touch. I felt the presence of divinity in the room as tears flowed and my heart expanded. Finally, a safe space. A community of people around me who are learning to ask for their needs without shame or shadow."
