IGP tells Special Branch to coordinate with other units

Meeting with three additional IGs discusses Karachi’s crime situation

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Riffat Mukhtar on Tuesday said the Special Branch should further strengthen the coordination with other law enforcement agencies to improve crime control and investigation. Addressing a meeting with Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, Additional IG Special Branch Khadim Hussain Rindh and Additional IG Training Abdul Qadir Qayyum, the Sindh police chief said the mechanism should be strengthened against anti-state and anti-social elements.

Talking about training centres, he said these were the first school of professional life of the police. He asked the AIG Training to promote positive attitude and thinking among the personnel.

On the occasion, AIG Karachi Javed Alam Odho gave a briefing on the law and order situation in the city.

He informed about the police security plan and its implementation.

Odho also apprised about the measures taken to protect the life and property of the citizens.

AIG Special Branch Khadim Hussain Rindh covered the law and order priorities of the Special Branch. He told Sindh IGP about the advanced intelligence collection and actions taken based on it.

AIG Training Abdul Qadir Qayyum mentioned the details about training schools, colleges and centers including policing training issues.

IG Sindh got briefed regarding peace and security in the city, security plan, training matters and advanced intelligence collection. IG Sindh said that solving crimes and providing a peaceful environment to the citizens is his goal. "You are my team, we have to move forward together," he said.
