SOUTH WAZIRISTAN:

At least six soldiers were martyred in a skirmish with terrorists in the Asman Manza area of South Waziristan district, said a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

The military's media wing added that at least four terrorists were also killed while two were injured in the fighting.

Sanitisation of the area is currently underway to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, added the ISPR.

Earlier this week, the security forces killed two terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Bara, Khyber district.

According to a statement issued by the ISPR, “During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists and resultantly, two terrorists were sent to hell.”

“Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.”
