25-year-old killed by adversaries as attack leaves 2-year-old daughter injured

DIJKOT:

A man was killed and two other people injured in an attack on Saturday.

Police said 25-year-old Ali Asghar, a resident of Jhang Road Chak 276 JB, was targeted by his adversaries, Adil Rafiq and Abid Riaz, as he visited a local salon for a shave.

The assailants, riding motorcycles, opened fire on Ali Asghar, also injuring two-year-old Dua Fatima and her uncle, Muhammad Shabbir, who happened to be nearby.

Medical attention was given to the injured, but Ali Asghar succumbed to his wounds. Law enforcement arrived, secured Ali Asghar's body, and after an autopsy, returned it to his family. Shehbaz Khan, Ali Asghar's brother, provided a statement leading to the registration of a case against the suspects, prompting a search operation.
