Boy dies as roof collapses during rain

A child was killed while four other two others were rescued from under the debris after the roof of their house in Haripur’s Muslimabad village collapsed during heavy rain.

Five members of the family were stuck underneath the rubble, with villagers removing the debris to rescue the victims.

A child, identified as Sohail, could not be rescued alive. Two other children sustained injuries. The wounded were transported to the healthcare facility in Muslimabad.

The family of the victim belonged to Balakot, Kohistan and they were working as laboruers in the area. Recent rains have wreaked havoc in many parts of the country.
