Services available for individuals aged 75 and above

LAHORE:

In the wake of Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister’s recent visit, an integral meeting was convened under the leadership of Commissioner and DG LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The focus of this session, held on Tuesday, revolved around the One Window Cell initiative.

Additional DG Housing, Captain (retd) Shahmir Iqbal, and Additional DG UP presented a comprehensive overview to the commissioner. Aligned with the Chief Minister’s directives, they announced immediate home delivery of documents for citizens aged 75 and above.

The commissioner and DG LDA jointly endorsed the “LDA at Doorstep” campaign, enhancing services for seniors.

Under the directive of the chief minister, applications from overseas Pakistanis will now be processed within 10 days, a notable reduction from the previous 14-day timeframe.

Furthermore, the meeting shed light on the initiation of an internship programme within LDA. Randhawa highlighted that students specialising in disciplines such as customer relations, IT, Town Planning, Metropolitan Planning, engineering, marketing, and public relations will undertake internships within LDA offices.

DG LDA emphasized that citizen feedback would be the sole yardstick to evaluate the performance of officers, thereby ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

The meeting saw the participation of Additional DG Housing Captain (retd) Shahmir Iqbal, Additional DG UP Syed Munawar Bukhari, Director IT Abdul Basit, Director Operations One Window, and pertinent officers.
