Former PM given guard of honour
Shehbaz Sharif formally hands over office to caretaker setup
ISLAMABAD:
Outgoing prime minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday was given guard of honour at the Prime Minister House as he handed over the responsibilities of his office to the newly appointed Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.
The former prime minister reviewed the guard of honour as the contingents of the armed forces presented a salute to him. On the occasion, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar bid farewell to the outgoing prime minister.
Later, he was flown to Lahore where he was received by Punjab governor, the caretake chief minister and other high-ranking officials. APP
