Cleanliness drive launched in Khanpur
On the instructions of the Provincial Government and Tehsil Municipal Officer Noor Sahib, the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) of Khanpur has launched a cleanliness drive to clear garbage from drains and streets of Khanpur city and adjacent areas.
In light of this, all shopkeepers in Tehsil Khanpur are requested to cooperate with the sanitation staff and place garbage and waste material in the designated areas assigned by the TMA. This would enable the staff to efficiently collect and remove the waste of time.
Moreover, TMA has also undertaken proactive measures to combat dengue. This includes conducting outdoor surveillance to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sites, as well as clearing drainage systems. Additionally, efforts have been directed toward raising community awareness about dengue prevention, focusing on various high-risk areas within Tehsil Khanpur.
Meanwhile, Khanpur Assistant Commissioner Zahra Noor and Tehsil Officer Regulation (TOR) Kiran Zeb recently visited Khanpur Dam. During their visit, they inspected the boating activities at the dam, to ensure their smooth operation and adherence to regulations.
In response to citizen complaints on the designated portal, the TMA is taking action to address encroachments in Khanpur.
Acting on the direction of TMO Noor Nabi Sahib and under the supervision of TOR Kiran Zeb, an anti-encroachment squad conducted surveillance near the National Bank, Khanpur branch. As a result of their efforts, vegetable vendors have been relocated away from the road, allowing for improved pedestrian and traffic flow in the area.
