Gruesome murder sends shockwave through Lyari; wife, daughters missing

The tight-knit community of Noor Mohammad neighbourhood near Khandvi Line Football Ground, Lyari, was shocked when dismembered body of a 65-year-old man, Aslam Baloch, was found at his home late on Saturday.

Aslam Baloch had been residing with his second wife and three daughters, but a grim twist of fate left their lives in disarray.

Mysteriously, the second wife and the children have gone missing since the macabre discovery.

As per the police report, the victim’s body was no less than two days old, bearing signs of a savage slaying, inflicted with a sharp-edge weapon.

The body was then ruthlessly dissected and concealed in a blue water drum and bucket.

Aijaz Mohammad Baloch, a brother of the victim, pointed accusatory fingers at the victim’s second wife, her elder daughter, and even her brother, alongside two ominous figures yet to be unmasked.

The arrest of the victim’s brother-in-law offered a glimmer of hope, while police continue to conduct raids in pursuit of justice.

Unfolding like a tragic tapestry, the life of Aslam Baloch wove a complex narrative, entwining two marriages that led to five daughters and a son with his first wife, and three daughters from his second spouse.

A familiar face around Chand Bibi Road, Moin Plaza, near Civil Hospital, Aslam Baloch’s absence for two days sent tremors through the hearts of his kin.
