MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener, Dr Farooq Sattar, has emphasised the significance of cherishing and safeguarding the hardearned freedom.

Addressing a flag-hoisting ceremony, organised by Society Town under the banner of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), in accordance with the forthcoming 76th Independence Day, Sattar highlighted that a mere two per cent of the land and feudal lords have held the country captive.

He stressed the need for collective effort to dismantle this entrenched system.

Through a peaceful political struggle, the MQM has become an integral part of Pakistan’s political landscape.

"Notably, the party has conducted an unprecedented early population census, locating and reuniting over 700,000 missing individuals.

Karachi’s population ratio surpasses other provinces, a feat attributed to MQM’s achievements.

He said that the city boasts a 27 per cent population ratio, while the remaining stands at 11.5 percent.

Dr Sattar envisaged a brighter future, wherein Pakistani youth contributed significantly to the nation’s advancement, outshining the influence of feudal elites.

Former President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, Saeed Shafiq, expressed his thoughts during the ceremony, stressing the vital role of voting in securing a promising future for the nation’s youth.
