PESHAWAR:

Awami National Party (ANP) has demanded action against the TTP terrorists instead of engaging them in negotiations.

Addressing a press conference here at Bacha Khan Markaz on Saturday, ANP Provincial President Aimal Wali Khan said that the TTP facilitators like General Faiz Hameed should also be taken to task, adding that negotiations could not be done with those who are attacking mosques and justifying it in the name of the religion.

Presenting the party manifesto for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), he said that the facilitators of terrorists should be asked about the motives behind shifting TTP terrorists to Pakistan under the guise of peace talks.

“I moved to court seeking action against those who facilitated the return of the terrorists and met the prime minister too but nothing worked,” added Wali.

He welcomed the court decision of disqualifying PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana case.

Wali also welcomed the new census and said that under the new census, provinces would be able to get their proper share in the national resources.

“I met prime minister and informed him about the reservation of our party about K-P governor but the differences on the issue are still there. It may be mentioned here that the ANP has issued a separate manifesto for the K-P province which is yet another first.
