KARACHI:

Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui during a press conference on Friday said that the term of the Sindh Assembly would expire on August 9, and no extension should be given in this regard.

Flanked by MQM-P Senior Deputy Convenors Syed Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar, Siddiqui said, "most of MQM Pakistan's mandate was stolen 2018 elections through rigging and manipulation." Addressing concerns over upcoming elections, he emphasized the need to ensure free and fair polls to break away from the clutches of a feudal democracy. MQM-P has sent representatives from the middle-class to the House, signalling their dedication to the on-going class struggle in the nation, he said.

Dr Siddiqui maintained that the results of the census were engineered and as such the upcoming elections should not be made on such census.
