'Increase in price of petrol by almost Rs20 per liter is the height of cruelty towards people'

The Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry, and business community leaders Faraz ul Rehman, Faisal Moiz Khan, and Javed Shamsi rejected the Rs19 increase in the petrol and diesel price and said they cannot afford this decision due to worst situation of inflation and massively increasing production cost.

Pakistan Central Muslim League Karachi President Ahmed Nadeem Awan termed the government a clique of cruel and incompetent people who keep increasing the burden on the people to pay for their royal lifestyles.

HCCI fears social unrest Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Adeel Siddiqui has said that the increase in the price of petrol by almost Rs20 per liter is the height of cruelty towards people.

There are fears of social problems due to the increase in inflation.

To overcome the deficit, the government should review the current policies for the development of industry and trade investment so that the country’s economy can be brought on the development track.

Pasban Democratic Party General Secretary Iqbal Hashmi has said that the increase in the prices of petroleum products will increase the prices of daily necessities of life.

Subsequently, an increase in inflation will lead to an increase in the crime rate as people have to make ends meet through any means.

The expenses of the government and the bureaucracy are increasing while the masses are being deprived of two square meals a day. two-time bread a day is being taken away from the people.
