PESHAWAR:

The recently established faction of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), known as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P), has taken its initial steps towards active political engagement by setting up a party secretariat in Peshawar.

The responsibility of overseeing the secretariat has been entrusted to former MPA Haji Shaukat Ali and former provincial minister Ishtiaq Urmar.

A core committee has also been formed, which elected Pervaz Khattak as the chairman and Mahmood Khan as the vice-chairman. In a symbolic gesture, the party flag was hoisted on the secretariat located in University Town, Peshawar.

Two dedicated PTI workers, Israr Bacha and Riaz Khan, have joined the ranks of the Pervaz Khattak-led PTI-P faction.

As part of their political activities, PTI-P has announced rallies across the province, with a major power show scheduled in Nowshera on August 19.

Additionally, rallies will be held in Mansehra, Kohat, DI Khan, Swat, Kohistan, Hangu, Peshawar, Mardan, Buner, and Abbottabad.
