Pakistan out of turbulence now: Dar

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasised that Chinese renminbi (RMB) will soon become a parallel internationally adopted currency.
He made the remarks while addressing the opening ceremony of the Bank of China’s (BOC) second branch in Islamabad on Monday.
Terming the opening of BOC’s branch a historic moment, Dar recalled that six years ago he had handed over the licence for opening the bank’s first branch to its president in Belgium.
The minister congratulated the BOC president and his team for making extensive efforts for opening the new branch. Citing that Pakistan had been passing through a turbulent phase over the past one year, he praised the Chinese Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peoples’ Bank of China and Chinese commercial banks for helping Pakistan overcome the difficulties.
