Five ‘robbers’ killed in 13 encounters last week
Karachi police engaged into 13 police encounters with outlaws last week during the anti-crime campaign in the city.
During the mentioned encounters, five suspected robbers were killed, and 18 robbers were arrested, out of which 15 were injured during the exchange of fire.
Additionally, during the raids in East, West, and South Zones of the city, the police arrested a total of 633 suspects.
Among the arrested individuals, 21 different types of illegal weapons and seven motorcycles were recovered and sent for forensics.
Moreover, during the ongoing campaign against drugs, the Police were able to recover a substantial amount of illegal substances.
They confiscated 24,726 kg of hashish, heroin, and ice crystals worth millions of rupees from various areas.
Furthermore, the police also took custody of more than 101 different types of illegal weapons and ammunition that were used in various crimes.
As part of their efforts to combat crime, the police also recovered and took custody of 38 stolen motorcycles and two vehicles during their operations in different areas.
A spokesperson of the police has assured the public that actions to eradicate crime, restore law and order, and protect the citizens will continue across Karachi.
The police are committed to ensure the safety and security of the city.
