Karachi Operation: Rangers claim arresting 14 people
They raided Khair Mohammad Goth, Surjani Town and parts of Baldia Town early in the morning.
KARACHI:
Pakistan Rangers continued their operation against ‘criminal elements’ on Tuesday morning and arrested dozens of people from different parts of the city. They raided Khair Mohammad Goth, Surjani Town and parts of Baldia Town early in the morning. Later in the day, they raided the Pirabad area. According to an official handout, at least 12 people were apprehended in the operation and 26 weapons including sub-machine guns and pistols were seized from the suspects. Sources, however, claim that dozens of people were arrested and would be released after interrogations prove that they are innocent. Rangers officials denied reports that they have nabbed a high-profile target killer or worker of a political party in the operation.
