Apple plans to reduce iPad bezel size with LIPO technology

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple might be shrinking the size of its bezels on the iPad

After reports that iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max might have smaller bezels than their predecessors, Bloomberg has added that the additional feature might also be making its way to iPads as well.

Mar Gutmann has explained that Apple will reduce the size of its bezels on its iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max from 2.2 millimeters down to 1.5 millimeters, using low-injection pressure or LIPO. The redesign will also be bought to the iPad, he has added.

According to the report, "The standard iPhone 15 models will trade in the notch for the Dynamic Island, while the Pro and Pro Max displays will be made with a new technology: low-injection pressure over-molding, or “LIPO” as it’s dubbed inside Apple."

Apple first used LIPO technology for its Watch Series 7 to make the borders thinner and increase the size of the display. It seems that it intends to use this tech to other devices as well.
