RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi District Education Authority has sought transfer applications from male and female teachers in the wake of the Punjab Education Department’s decision to immediately lift the ban on transfers and postings of teachers across the province.

The education department had sought permission for the transfer of teachers from the Election Commission of Pakistan which was also granted.

The grant of permission for the transfer of teachers has sent a wave of happiness among the teachers’ organisations.

These exchanges will be of all levels including merit, mutual consent, marriage, divorce, widowhood and disability. Transfer applications must be submitted online. The transfer process will be completed by August 17.

The transfer schedule has also been released. Online applications will be received from July 28 to August 6. Their verification process will take place from July 28 to August 9. Online appeals on the ongoing list will be heard from August 10 to August 12 and the appeals will be decided from August 13 to August 15, while the transfer orders will be issued on August 17.

Despite the transfer, the teachers will be bound to perform their election duties. The transfer notification of a teacher, who does not perform the election duty, will be cancelled.
