Court cancels bail of ‘abusive father’
A District and Sessions Court on Wednesday cancelled the bail and ordered the arrest of a man accused of molesting his daughters.
The suspect, Abdul Jabbar, was arrested from the City Courts premises where he had come for the hearing of petition against his bail.
The case against Abdul Jabbar was registered at the Keamari police station after his wife filed a complaint with the police.
Advocate Liaquat Ali Khan Gabol representing the complainant, the girls' mother, brought forward the fact that Jabbar had failed to cooperate with the investigation after being granted bail. As a result, the lawyer requested the court to revoke the accused's bail to ensure a thorough investigation into the matter. It was alleged that Abdul Jabbar engaged in lewd acts with his young daughters.
Considering the absence of the accused's cooperation, the court decided to cancel Abdul Jabbar's interim bail and instructed the investigating officer to effectuate his arrest. Additionally, the court directed the investigating officer to arrange for a medical examination of the accused as part of the investigation process.
