HYDERABAD:

After having consumed the life of an artificial intelligence professor, the brutal saga of the tribal dispute between Sundranis and Sawands is now dragging the professor’s family in trouble.

The Kashmore-Kandhkot district police, though failed to arrest the killers of Dr Ajmal Sawand of Sukkur IBA University during the last 100 days, have booked his brothers for the recent killing of Advocate Mir Noor Ilahi Khan Sundrani.

Dr Tariq Sawand and Ashraf Sawand, brothers, are among five persons booked in the FIR lodged on the complaint of Zahid Hussain Sundarani.

Prof Dr Sawand, a PhD in AI from France, was savagely murdered on April 7 in the same district even though he and his family were not involved in any tribal dispute.

Unknown assailants riding on motorbikes shot dead a cousin of Pakistan Peoples Party’s MPA Sardar Mir Ghulam Abid Khan Sundrani on the Indus Highway in Ghouspur area in Kashmore-Kandhkot district on Tuesday. Slain Mir Noor Ilahi Khan Sundrani was shifted to the civil hospital Sukkur where he died.
