Woman nabbed for killing husband in ‘robbery’

Two suspects arrested in connection with murder after three alleged robbers targetted home in rural Punjab

Police arrested two suspects in the case of a murder of a man in the area of Millat Town three days ago, police said.

They said one of the suspects happened to be the wife of the victim.

Police said that three alleged robbers had trespassed on the house of Mohammad Shahzad in Chak No. 197 on the night of July 15 and 16, stole Rs10,000, a mobile phone and a motorcycle and killed him upon resistance.

Police said that after registration of the case, the SP of Madina Town, Hafiz Kamran Asghar, had formed teams to arrest suspects.

During their investigation, police became suspicious about the deceased's wife on the basis of which they arrested her.

They also arrested another suspect, Shahzad Javed, and allegedly recovered the motorcycle, cash and mobile phone from his possession.

According to the SP of Madina Town, Hafiz Kamran Asghar, and the SHO of Millat Town, Ali Akbar, suspect Shahzad Javed had allegedly had a relationship with the wife of the deceased.
