Ainy Jaffri to star in a Bollywood feature film alongside Siddhanth Kapoor

The film, titled ‘Coke’ is written and directed by Sarim Momin

Earlier this year, actor Ainy Jaffri surprised her fans with an announcement of her television comeback after a four-year-hiatus from the industry. The Balu Mahi actor starred in Mandi alongside Saba Qamar, Mikaal Zulfiqar and Shayan Khan. But little did we know that a Pakistani drama wasn’t the only surprise she had for us

The image was from the sets of their upcoming film. Jaffri will share the screen with Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant Kapoor.  “The team hard at work,” read the Story, which used hashtags ‘Bollywood’ and ‘Feature film’.

Earlier this month, Jaffri posted a picture of the script titled Coke and wrote, “It’s finally happening!” The script also had a Mumbai address on it that gave away the project’s Indian origin. Fans flocked to the comment section to congratulate the actor on signing an Indian project and also expressed that the Pakistani industry misses her.

When the Aseerzadi actor announced her return to acting again on Instagram, she highlighted how the break made her realise her passion for acting. She said it was not a “passing fancy” and something that she could never give up on. “The break has taught me to be more patient, and the very valuable lesson that being a woman and a mother means that while you can’t have it all at the same time, you can have it, in turns, when the time is right,” she said.

While promoting her film Ballu Mahi with Osman Khalid Butt, Jaffri had told The Express Tribune, “Acting was always something I really wanted to do but didn’t push too hard for it as there was a lot of resistance. My parents were very weary of it. They weren’t aware of how professional everything is in the industry until my aunt, Azra Mohyuddin, joined it.”

Jaffri first began her career with one-off commercials, which propelled her towards 2010’s Zip Bus Chup Raho and then the rest was history as she climbed the ladder with multiple drama serials under her belt.
