Women’s role in development termed crucial

Punjab Governor Balighur Rahman has emphasised the crucial role of women's empowerment in achieving a nation's development goals.

He underlined the importance of providing equal opportunities to women and reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring their active participation in all spheres of society.

During a meeting at Lahore's Governor House, Rahman met with Birgit Lamm, Country Head of Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, and Muhammad Anwar, Head of Programs and Administration.

The governor praised the remarkable talents of Pakistani women and highlighted their substantial representation in various fields as a testament to their capabilities.

He also highlighted the government's efforts to promote women's entrepreneurship, including the dedicated quota for women in the Prime Minister's Youth Loan Program, aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs nationwide, particularly.
