Azaan Sami Khan drops ‘Dildara Monsoon Mix’ as ‘Kuch Ankahi’ ends

Singer-actor said it was ‘an honour’ to be a small part of the show musically

Fans of the star-studded family drama Kuch Ankahi were in for a delightful surprise as the series came to an end – and it wasn’t just the happy ending director Nadeem Baig, and writer Muhammad Ahmed had in mind. Singer Azaan Sami Khan, the man behind the show’s catchy opening theme song Dildara – that also became the backdrop for Aaliya (Sajal Aly) and Salman’s (Bilal Abbas) romance – had another musical treat for his audience.

Khan gave Kuch Ankahi fans a farewell gift in the form of a slow ballad for a rainy day in this monsoon season. On Sunday, he took to Instagram to share the visualizer for Dildara, presenting a monsoon mix. With this rendition, he expressed his gratitude to the entire team of Kuch Ankahi for creating such a beautiful show.

“A big shout out to the entire team of Kuch Ankahi for making such a beautiful show. It was an honour to be a small part of it musically,” he wrote.

The new version of the song has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Actor Mira Sethi, who plays the eldest daughter Samiya in the show, is also a fan of the new rendition. Calling it "transportive,” she commented that the song takes her "to a place in her heart full of longing."

Khan's career has been on a steady rise in the entertainment industry. He made his film debut in Superstar and Parey Hut Love, which garnered praise for their music. Following his success with music and films, he ventured into acting with dramas like Ishq e Laa.
