Dispute ends in tragedy

25-yearold man stabbed over switching the water pump in their rental residence in Hyderabad

HYDRABAD:

A tragic incident occurred on Monday when a man fatally stabbed another man during a dispute over switching the water pump in their rental residences in the Haider Shah Colony area of Paretabad, Hyderabad.

The victim, 25-year-old Noman Rajput, suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Liaquat University Hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds. The suspect, Irfan Qureshi, managed to escape and is currently at large. According to the police, the altercation between the two tenants, Qureshi and Rajput, had been a recurring issue, often revolving around the operation of the water pump.
