Hira Mani lauds Ameer Gilani for 'amazing thoughts' on ideal life partner

Star took to her Stories to applaud the young actor

In a heartwarming social media interaction, Hira Mani took to her Instagram Stories to share a snippet of Ameer Gilani's interview with Fuchsia Magazine, where he eloquently described his ideal partner as his best friend. Impressed by his thoughts, Hira praised Ameer's upbringing and knowledge imparted by his mother.

Taking to her Stories, the star penned, "Amazing thoughts. Your mother's upbringing and imparted knowledge show clearly on your face. Stay [shining]. Hope you always stay happy." Ameer graciously acknowledged the compliment, saying, "Very sweet of you, thank you very much."

Talking about the interview in question, Ameer highlighted his perspective on an ideal life partner, emphasising the significance of friendship. "Companioniship, I think, is the most important thing," stated Ameer in the interview.

The star also highlighted the need for comfort and camaraderie, stating that he would always raise his voice in support of his partner, just as he would expect his sister's husband to do. "I want my better half to be my best friend...I want her to be as authentic and real as she can be," he said.

Touching upon "taboo" topics, Ameer expressed his belief in normalising marriages involving divorcees and older women. "I don't think there's anything wrong with [divorce]," said Ameer. "You find a friend, you find love - what does that have to do with someone's age or their previous marriage? There are people in my family who have not had a good first marriage, got divorced, and are happily married again."

Addressing the sensitive topic of divorce, Ameer acknowledged that while it is generally frowned upon, there are circumstances where it becomes the only viable option. "Divorce is a frowned upon thing. One prays that it doesn't happen. But if the circumstances are such that there is no other way out, then there is a reason divorce exists," shared the Neem actor.

Ameer firmly stated that if someone's heart falls for another person, it should be respected, regardless of societal expectations.  "Even if she's younger than me, older than me, if someone is divorced, it doesn't mean that they are not worthy of anything. Who are we to judge? If your heart falls for someone, then it falls for that person, regardless of anything," said Ameer.

The star’s refreshing perspective on relationships, and his inclusive mindset regarding age and divorce, challenges societal norms and opens up conversations about love and companionship. His thoughtful insights have resonated with many, like Hira, laying emphasis on the importance of friendship, authenticity, and acceptance in building strong and meaningful relationships.
