PEF to introduce e-voucher system

Initiative will help increase revenue of partner schools

LAHORE:

The 84th meeting of the Punjab Education Foundation’s (PEF) Board of Directors was held on Friday.

The meeting discussed various important agendas, including the increase of monthly fees of PEF partner schools and the introduction of an innovative e-voucher system.

After thorough discussions, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed to increase the monthly fees by Rs50 for students in Middle Level Schools, Rs100 for students in Secondary Level Schools, and Rs200 for students in Higher Secondary Level Schools affiliated with Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS), Education Voucher Scheme (EVS), and New School Program (NSP).

Board of Directors Chairperson Dr Saeed Shafqat emphasised that the primary objective behind the fee increase was to provide financial support to partner schools.

He reiterated that this measure would enable partner schools to offer and sustain higher-quality education to their students.

Additionally, the Board of Directors approved the implementation of an e-voucher system, which aims to modernise the voucher card process and streamline payment procedures for PEF partners.

By eliminating the need for physical vouchers, the e-voucher system is expected to generate significant savings and reduce payment delays. The meeting also discussed various other important matters concerning educational advancement in Punjab.
