Out-of-school children should be enrolled, Punjab Education Foundation should resume operations, says governor

LAHORE:

Members of the caretaker cabinet of Punjab called on Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman and discussed development projects in the education, health and agriculture sectors in South Punjab on Tuesday.

The governor said on the occasion that the efforts of the caretaker chief minister to improve the health sector were praise-worthy, but there was always room for improvement and the process of improvement should not stop.

He said special attention given by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to the agriculture sector was yielding positive results and it was good that the provincial government and all institutions were on the same page in this regard. He said out-of-school children should be enrolled and the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) should be run again in a better manner.

The governor said the decision to link BHUs and dispensaries with big hospitals should be reversed and they should be run in a better manner.
