BAHAWALPUR:

Two youths hailing from Bahawalpur were inducted into the 2023 Guinness Book of World Records arranging the largest planted word formation in the world.

A press release issued on Tuesday said that Abdullah Tanseer and Haider Mustafa Qureshi participated in creating a word formation spelling "TAKMEEL," which was composed of 3,296 saplings planted over an area of 1,200 square feet in Bahawalpur.

The two youths, in collaboration with Takmeel Square officials and Paksarzameen, collected 3,300 saplings of an indigenous species with the consultation of the Department of Forestry to check if they were suitable for the specified region.

The record-breaking project started with a white chalk outline of the word, followed by participants digging, planting, and watering these plants as time went by.

For the recording process to be completely transparent, independent personnel were seen examining and verifying every aspect throughout the process.

Local TV channels were also given coverage to the event.
