The National College of Arts (NCA) has announced summer camp admissions at its campuses in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Gilgit.
A wide range of courses, including drawing, watercolour painting, sculpture, animation, fashion illustration, digital photography, oil painting, marble art, calligraphy, singing, graphic design, textile design and group music performance are being offered at the camp.
As per a news release, the deadline for admissions in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad is July 13.
NCA Vice-Chancellor Professor Murtaza Jafari stated that the college was committed to teaching skills to as many people as possible through its Community Outreach Programme. The admission forms can be obtained from NCA campuses and website.
Meanwhile, the Lahore Arts Council has unveiled an opportunity for scriptwriters in the form of a theatre drama competition. The competition features various categories designed to cater to both experienced and aspiring writers, with a focus on promoting theatre adaptations that address significant social themes.
Alhamra Art Centre Executive Director Muhammad Saleem Sagar said the competition would provide a platform for new writers to showcase their talent. The first-place winners in each category will receive Rs50,000, followed by Rs30,000 for the second-place and 20,000 for third-place winners.
Participants are required to base their scripts on the themes of ‘Yeh Watan Humara Hai’, human and women’s rights, social issues, role of social media, colours of Pakistani culture and environment protection. The scripts should have a duration of 50 to 60 minutes.
