Power outages hitting PPP stronglhold, says minister

Shaikh highlights rising unemployment resulting from these circumstances was adversely affecting the country’s economy

Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Shaikh has expressed strong reaction towards the deliberate electricity loadshedding by K-Electric. In a statement issued on Friday, Shaikh expressed his outrage over the 14 to 18 hours of load shedding, which has caused immense suffering for the residents.

“This extended power outage has not only made people’s lives miserable but also led to the closure of industries and brought business activities to a halt,” he lamented. The energy minister highlighted that the rising unemployment resulting from these circumstances was adversely affecting the country’s economy.
