Absconding ‘killer’ arrested in Dijkot
The suspect who had allegedly killed his friend on the suspicion of the latter’s having a relationship with the former’s sister was arrested.
A man had lodged a complaint with the Tarkhani Police Station in the last week of June alleging that several suspects had kidnapped his nephew Sajjad Ejaz at gunpoint.
The complainant had told the police that several people had witnessed the incident who the perpetrators of the crime had warned against telling anyone about the incident.
The complainant had said that the suspects were none other than his nephew’s friends-turned-enemies.
Sajjad Ejaz, the nephew of complainant Aslam, had had friendship with Mohsin and Asim, and they used to visit each other’s houses.
During this time, one of the suspects, Mohsin, had started suspecting Sajjad of having contracted a friendship with his (Mohsin’s) sister.
The complainant had said that his nephew had been kidnapped from near a branch of Gogira Nahar.
The SHO of Tarkhani, Sub-Inspector Babar Afridi, arrested Mohsin Raza after raiding various places.
On his identification, the body of Sajjad Ejaz was recovered and handed over to his heirs.
