Mayor commits to minority welfare
Mayor of Peshawar, Haji Zubair Ali, emphasized the priority resolution of issues faced by minorities and the allocation of funds for the development of minority-dominated areas.
He stated that the budget includes provisions for minorities to undertake developmental projects in their communities.
Haji Zubair Ali expressed his commitment to serving the people, keeping his home and office doors open. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Zeeshan Ishtiaq, Principal of St John Wahani High School, presented flower bouquets to Mayor Haji Zubair Ali, congratulating him. Metropolitan Member Pervez Iqbal was also present during the event.
Zeeshan Ishtiaq extended an invitation to the Mayor for an official visit to John Wahani High School in Peshawar, which was accepted.
The Mayor assured that all minority issues would be addressed, and Ishtiaq, representing the Christian community, pledged their full support.
He mentioned that their schools provide education with a missionary spirit, transcending caste and color boundaries. Ishtiaq expressed a desire for universal literacy in Pakistan and emphasized their continuous efforts for the development of the country.
“We wish that no one is illiterate in Pakistan and we are working day and night for the development of our beloved country Pakistan,” he added.
