A video of a shameless naked man harassing a young girl in Karachi's Gulistan-e-Jauhar area went viral over the social media on Wednesday, garnering condemnation of people from all walks of life.
The incident occurred in Block 4 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar where a man, after removing his shorts in front of a house, can be seen attacking the girl in broad daylight.
The shameless man indecently gestured towards the girl while waiting for her to approach. As soon as the girl came closer, he chased her from behind in an attempt to grab her.
The brave girl defended herself and fought back, causing the hooligan to retreat. He quickly wore his shorts and fled on his motorcycle.
Regarding this matter, the SSP District East has stated that no one has reported the incident to the police. However, he added that the incident did occur, and CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
He mentioned that the police have initiated an investigation based on the footage and expressed hope that they will soon succeed in apprehending the culprit.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, taking notice of the incident, has directed the Inspector General (IG) and Additional IG Police to ensure the immediate arrest of the accused and deal with him according to the law.
A spokesperson for the Sindh Police stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
