FAISALABAD:

A group of demonstrators blocked the road in front of the City Police Officer (CPO) office to express their frustration over the lack of response to their complaints.

Individuals visiting the CPO office were informed by office staff between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm that they would have the opportunity to meet the CPO and discuss their grievances by submitting formal applications.

Around 1:00 pm, when the designated time for hearing complaints arrived, City Police Officer Usman Akram Gondal left his office to attend a meeting, leaving the waiting complainants in the hands of the Complaints Branch staff.

In response, they decided to stage a protest by blocking the main road leading to the CPO office.

DSP Legal Shehzad Aliana and other police officials approached the demonstrators to initiate negotiations.

The officers assured the complainants that their concerns would be heard by SSP Operation Dr. Rizwan, and eventually managed to persuade the protesters to end their blockade. Reportedly, during the interaction, SSP Dr. Rizwan maintained a stern demeanor.
