Shah Rukh Khan injured on set, undergoes surgery: Indian media

Actor is now back in India

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan seems to be facing setbacks in his action movies. The Pathaan actor recently met with an accident while filming one of his projects on the sets in Los Angeles. He underwent surgery in the United States following the incident. Although details regarding the accident remain scarce, sources reveal that Khan injured his nose, causing bleeding and necessitating an immediate rush to the hospital, as per Hindustan Times.

Upon returning to India, the Main Hoon Na actor was seen wearing a bandage on his nose. Currently, Khan is recuperating at home, according to reports. Neither the actor nor his team has released an official statement regarding the accident. However, a source close to the situation informed ETimes, "SRK was shooting in Los Angeles for a project and ended up hurting his nose. He began bleeding and was immediately rushed to a hospital."

The source further revealed that doctors assured Khan's team that the injury was not severe and required a minor surgical procedure to stop the bleeding. However, fans need not worry too much. Khan has experienced several injuries throughout his illustrious 31-year-long Bollywood career. He underwent minor surgery in 2017 and knee surgery while shooting for Raees. In 2013, he underwent his eighth surgery after completing the shoot for Chennai Express, and in 2009, he had surgery to rectify a tear in his left shoulder.

Recently, Khan celebrated 31 years in the Bollywood film industry and engaged with fans during an Ask Me Anything session on Twitter. One fan asked about his popular song Chaiyya Chaiyya being performed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to the United States. In response, Khan expressed his wish to be there, saying, "Wish I was there to dance to it... but they wouldn't allow a train inside, I guess?!"

On the work front, Khan made his highly anticipated comeback after a four-year hiatus with Siddharth Anand's blockbuster action-thriller Pathaan in January. His next project, Jawan, an action-thriller directed by Atlee, is scheduled to release on September 7. The film, featuring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in leading roles, promises high-octane action sequences. Produced by Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, the actor is also lined up for director Rajkumar Hirani's next venture, Dunki, alongside actor Taapsee Pannu. The official release date for Dunki is yet to be announced.
