Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday maintained that the installation of electric arc furnace at Steel Shop Mughalpura will be completed by July 25.
During a meeting at Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore, the minister hoped that the initiative would help improve the quality of steel shop and increase its production.
The moot took into consideration progress made on ML-1 project and mulled over future strategy in this regard.
The participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction over the pace work on Sibi-Harnai section.
Rafique directed the authorities concerned to ensure restoration of Sibi-Harnai train operation.
The participants also reviewed updates on the branding of coaches during the meeting.
The minister noted that a pilot project on branding of 15 coaches will be launched this month.
The meeting also deliberated on cabinet’s approval of land rules and different aspects of fibre optical cable policy.
