Ahsan Khan rubs shoulders with his Bollywood ‘favourite’ Nawazuddin Siddiqui

The two met in Dubai on Sunday

Pakistani and Indian artists, who have long adored each other’s work but are restricted due to borders, tend to bump into each other in Dubai and share their love for acting and films. Ahsan Khan got a chance to meet his “favourite” Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui on Sunday and had only praises to sing for the actor.

Khan took to Instagram and posted a picture with the Sacred Games star. “The very best actors have good technique and exceptional talent. Acting techniques, like projecting your voice and movement on stage, can be learned and finessed, improving any talent. The extra edge that extraordinary natural talent brings is something that cannot be taught and is what makes great actors stand out,” he wrote, implying that Siddiqui is one of the stars that did not just polish their skills, but were born with an exceptional eye for it.

The Udaari actor called Siddiqui his “favourite” and used the hashtags ‘legend,’ ‘extraordinary,’ ‘sweet soul,’ ‘humble’ and ‘legendary’ to describe the Gangs of Wasseypur star.

Earlier this year, singer Atif Aslam and actor Sami Khan reunited with their Bollywood friends in Dubai. Sanjay Kapoor’s birthday bash was a star-studded affair graced with the best of Indian cinema, and their long-lost friends from Pakistan. Aslam, who rose to fame in India with multiple hits like Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Pehli Nazar Mein and Dil Diyan Gallan, attended the party with his wife, Sara Bharwana.

Even Karan Johar was spotted watching Bilal Lashari’s The Legend of Maula Jatt in Dubai last year. Moreover, Pakistani singer and renowned former band Strings’ leading member Faisal Kapadia, who has moved to Dubai, was spotted at a Diwali Celebration alongside Indian composer Salim Merchant, actors R Madhavan, Rohit Roy and Pakistani ghazal singer Talat Aziz, hosted by Indian singer Sonu Nigam at his residence.

The Indian government may have imposed a ban on Pakistani artists working alongside Bollywood stars in 2019, but that never stopped the stars' shared bond from growing. They have, time and again, found opportunities and ways to meet each other in different countries and continue their friendships based on their love for art.
