Trader injured by robbers dies

A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday when a businessman, who had been injured in a robbery, succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The incident occurred on Friday in Buffalo Colony area of Sukhun, where two businessmen, Zahid Qureshi and Haji Younis, were targeted by armed robbers while riding on their motorcycles. The culprits forcefully snatched cash and mobile phones from the victims and resorted to firing when met with resistance.

Zahid Qureshi, one of the injured individuals, tragically lost his life while being transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, Haji Younis remained in critical condition and despite medical efforts, he also passed away during treatment on Sunday evening. The police have completed the necessary legal procedures and handed over the body of the deceased to his family. It is worth mentioning that Khalid Qureshi, the brother of the deceased, is an official associated with a religious party.

Following the incident, local residents and relatives of the victims staged a protest on the National Highway, blocking the road to express their outrage. Taking prompt action, senior officials suspended SHO Sukhan Rao Zaheer.
