President Dr Arif Alvi took to Twitter on Saturday to share a picture of himself standing alongside Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, with both leaders exchanging warm smiles.
The president described the image as symbolic of the excellent relationship between the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In his tweet, President Alvi expressed the significance of the affectionate smile, stating, "No better expression of the kinship than the beaming and affectionate smile on the faces of two brothers."

He highlighted the deep-rooted bonds between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasising the strength of the bilateral relationship.
President Alvi's visit to Saudi Arabia was primarily to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
As per the Saudi Press Agency, an annual ceremony was held at the Royal Court, Mina Palace, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The event was attended by presidents, prime ministers, senior Islamic dignitaries, and guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, including heads of delegations and offices of pilgrims affairs who performed Hajj this year.

During the ceremony, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman interacted with several world leaders, including President Alvi. The Crown Prince shook hands with King Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah of Malaysia, President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal, President Mohammed Shahabuddin of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and other esteemed dignitaries.
The warm and amicable exchange between President Alvi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman further underscores the close ties and mutual respect shared between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The interaction symbolises the strong bilateral relationship that extends beyond diplomatic protocols, emphasising the profound kinship and camaraderie between the two nations.
