KARACHI:

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) Senior Deputy Convener Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday accused the Provincial Election Commissioner Ejaz Chauhan of helping Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

“Millions of votes are being wasted by changing the voting lists,” Kamal said talking to the media at the park adjacent to the MQM-P temporary headquarters in Bahadurabad.

He said after skewed census, the constituencies and voter lists were being tampered with.

He said that the Sindh government through a notification acknowledged that 53 Union Councils have been added, the population of 5.6 million was counted less.

PPP was preparing to do the same in general elections what it did with the citizens of Sindh in the municipal polls, Kamal said and claimed that the Election Commissioner of Sindh was fully supporting them in this.

Voters lists of urban Sindh were being tampered with and votes of citizens were being transferred to remote areas, so that they would unable to exercise their right to vote in general elections.
