Gill to be declared absconder
The local court has issued an order to block the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Shahbaz Gill for his failure to appear in a case related to inciting rebellion against institutions.
Additionally, the court has requested the details of all properties owned by Gill.
The district and sessions court initiated the process of declaring Gill an absconder in the case of incitement to revolt against institutions.
The court ordered the notice to be posted at prominent locations in Islamabad, Faisalabad, and F8.
The court's action is a response to Gill's repeated non-appearance in court proceedings.
Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Supra issued the order.
The court specified that if Gill arrived at any Pakistani airport, the director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) should inform the court promptly.
Further, the court called for a report from relevant institutions by July 26 regarding the process of declaring Gill an absconder.
The court also requested the deputy commissioners of Islamabad and Faisalabad to provide details of Gill's movable and immovable property.
During the proceedings, the court recorded the statement of the assistant sub-inspector regarding the execution of the non-bailable warrant.
It was reported that Gill had traveled to the United States.
In response, the court instructed the National Database and Registration Authority to block Gill's CNIC.
