Sindh to attract religious tourism

Three-day international conference planned from July 11 to 13

KARACHI:

Prime Minister Gandhara Task Force Chairman Dr Ramesh Kumar on Monday said Sindh government will host three-day international conference from July 11 to 13 , aimed at attracting tourists from around the world. Dr. Ramesh Kumar stated that the Task Force aims to bring up to 500,000 tourists to Pakistan, which will greatly benefit the country on a large scale.

Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput chaired the meeting at the Sindh Secretariat, focusing on the Gandhara Civilization. Home Secretary Ajaz Ali Shah, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, Culture Secretary Abdul Aleem Lashari, Culture DG Manzoor Ahmed Khanasro attended the meeting. Lashari said there are 369 cultural sites in Sindh, including temples and stupas of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, which still attract a significant number of visitors.
