ISLAMABAD:

The reason behind the lack of arrests of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in Gujar Khan following the incidents of May 9 has been revealed.

A video featuring Raja Javed Ashraf, the brother of National Assembly (NA) Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, has emerged, shedding light on the situation.

In the video, Javed claimed that the PTI leaders were not apprehended in Gujar Khan due to pressure exerted by the NA speaker.

According to Pervaiz, he had declared that regardless of anyone's support for him, there would be no arrests in the city.

During a political gathering, Javed took the opportunity to call upon the Gujjar Khan station house officer (SHO) to stand up and confirm whether his brother had halted the arrests or not.

In response, the SHO of Gujar Khan stood up and admitted that he had been instructed not to make any arrests.
